Who is “GLYNDWR”?
“Glyndwr” is the kennel prefix belonging to Lisa and David Hubler,
in Vista, California and Lisa’s mother Janet LaForge in Lebanon, Oregon.
Commitment to the Welsh Springer Spaniel has been a family passion for
the past 25 years.
What does “GLYNDWR” mean?
“Glyndwr” is the name of a famous Welsh warrior, known for his bravery,
loyalty, kindness and excellent leadership.
We choose the name “Glyndwr” for our kennel prefix as we felt our dogs
exhibited the qualities of bravery, loyalty and kindness. We hoped our
stewardship of this beautiful dog, through our breeding program;
would attain the level of “excellence in leadership” in the Welsh Springer
Spaniel breed.
GLYNDWR history:
We have enjoyed the companionship of Welsh Springer Spaniels for over
twenty-five years. Our dogs have always been house dogs and an
important part of the family. We live with a small number of dogs so they
can all participate in our family activities.
In California the dogs help keep the organic orchard cleared of rabbits and
in Oregon the dogs help with chores by herding sheep and chasing squirrels!
The dogs all live, travel and vacation happily with us, each other and other
family pets.
We have all enjoyed training our Welsh Springer Spaniels and exhibiting them
in the conformation show ring since the early 1980’s. All our dogs enjoy going
to dog shows and living in RV’s while traveling throughout the US and Canada.
We have successfully bred healthy, happy and nationally known, award winning dogs.
We have finished many champions and have bred group and specialty winning dogs.
GLYNDWR goals:
Good health and happy spaniel temperaments are a primary goal of our limited breeding
program. We strive to maintain the traditional Welsh Springer Spaniel qualities of
athleticism, superb hunting abilities, intelligent and loyal companions. We also strive to
maintain the traditional beauty of the breed.
